But there are plenty of possibilities for the waterfront:
The Bregenz Festival (above) is an annual event - a temporary floating stage is built on Lake Constance to showcase operas, plays and concerts during a month every summer, attracting thousands of spectators.
The Forum bathing area in Barcelona uses floating structures to enclose areas for swimming.

I love the top collage, its got a strange quality of a wall hitting the sea, the more people can inhabit the wall the more exciting it becomes to me - although it makes me feel very cold.
ReplyDeleteThe floating stage - genius - do it! Its mad I love it. How could it not attract visitors?
And the forum, well from experience I think its a great place. The sea feels like swimming pools without actually ever being completely enclosed, so you could swim right out towards the horizon if you wanted to - that's a nice take on more traditional enclosed lidos on the coast...
